WINTER LAND

The Winter Land Series is a meditation on the stillness and stark beauty of winter, drawn from the snowscapes of Montana’s Bitterroot Range and the rural farmlands of Caledonia, New York. In Montana, vast snowy vistas and mountain horizons stretch across remote, wind-swept terrain—expansive, austere, and serene. In Caledonia, winter uncovers the quiet endurance of farmland life: silos standing alone, weathered barns softened by frost, and abandoned structures that remain as monuments to memory and time. Minimalist compositions frame lone trees silhouetted against empty fields, weathered fences that border farm fields covered on snow, frozen wetlands, and wooded hollows etched in white. Each image reveals the quiet resilience of these landscapes, where even decay becomes part of the season’s story, a world at rest.
