LEAF ABSTRACTS

This body of work presents photographs of both winter and water leaves, studied through close observation and transformed into independent abstract forms that emphasize line, texture, detail, and contrast. Through photographic techniques, both single images and blended compositions evolve into works that border on the surreal while remaining grounded in recognizable reality. Using leaves, water, color, and texture as a foundation, the series pushes the boundaries of two-dimensional imagery to create evocative designs—sometimes strange, sometimes familiar, but always compelling. Ultimately, it explores a different kind of realism, one that invites the viewer to see nature not just as subject, but as abstract art in itself.
